How we clean Tile and Grout floors

As always we start by protecting the surrounding areas from splashes by covering up cupboards and skirting boards with some polythene sheets. Once all is protected we can get on with the main task of restoring that tile and grout.

Special solutions are sprayed onto the tile and grout and left for a short period to break down the soils. We then use a rotary machine to scrub the floor using a brush attachment. After this we manually scrub the grout lines using a long handled and sometimes short handled grout brush. The floor is then hot water rinsed, dried and then assessed. With tile and grout we tend to find that because they stay cleaner a lot longer than natural stone, the grout becomes ingrained with dirt, grease and stains from beverage spills, and therefore doesn’t always come good with our first clean, this is when we need to re-clean using a completely different tpe of solution, this solution with break down a minute layer of the grout without harming the tile and help make the grout lines look new again.

Sealing your freshly cleaned floor.

Once we have given you the desired look for your tile and grout floor we actually seal the floor, this prevents the grout lines from soiling quickly and add duration to the clean look of your flooring, it also helps you maintain the floor easier giving you more time to enjoy it rather than cleaning it.

If for some reason the grout lines are still not looking there best then the final alternative is a recolour. Something we also offer our customers.
